Cleveland Artist Misty Hughes: Mixed Media Abstractions
About this event:
Misty Hughes has always had abstract perspectives as a part of her character that naturally led to exploring abstraction in her work. She loves to create art that makes you feel like your most favorite song in the world came on the radio.
“Living as a creative being, I consider reality to be an endless opportunity for living life as art” – Misty
She embraces a “radical diversity” for her body of work that is a freedom to create in infinite styles and mediums. It makes her heart sing to have no boundaries, as the word “creation” encapsulates all! She loves the play of contrast and composition.
“My process involves an appreciation of art and I am drawn to a constant stream of images that infuse me”.
Misty Hughes has an Associates Degree in the Visual Arts from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She worked for American Greetings as a Graphic & Lettering Artist.
